Athena Spoke in Whispered Tones

We were raised up
Like the voices that surrounded us

Expected to keep quiet
Until it was our turn

Keeping our fights internal
Making our struggles eternal

Told to listen so we can learn,
But those speaking had nothing to say

And the louder they were, the less sense they made.

Because of these failings,
Athena spoke in whispered tones,
For wisdom need not be shouted

Becuase those who are quiet
Know they are right

And those who are right
Just need to be patient.
