Dilation

When the world seems bleak,

And you feel yourself falling,

Take a moment

Take a breath

And your eyes will adjust.

For everything in the dark 

Is not lost.

Because even on your worst days

I know

Your pupils will open wide,

As will your heart,

And you’ll see your way through it.
