Honeycomb Hexes

My heart doesn’t beat,
It buzzes.

With love swarming
Protecting
Who I am from who I want
And vice versa.

Blood like honey
Coursing slowly
Through my veins
For it takes me a while
To feel something.

All I ask is for patients
