San Andreas

It’s no one’s fault

We drifted.

But I was cracking

Under stress

And you didn’t even notice.

Mistaking my trembles for titters

And my quakes for quirks.

When in reality

I was shaken to my core,

To the point where it started to scare

Everyone else around me.

And maybe we got carried away

But I endured

To the best of my ability

Head down, Hidden away

Until there was no energy left

To continue.
