Sun Spot

I need you to be warm.

To feel your heat in the palm

Of my outstretched hand.

Freeing fingers frozen in a fist

For I had forgotten what it felt like

To touch a flame.

Burn me, I beg of you.

For someone so bright

Has got to be more

Than just an ethereal glow.

Please, be a light

Rather than another glare.
