I tried my best to be patient
But I feel like I’ve wasted years
Just to get through today

I’ve aged faster
But moved slower
And got nowhere
By staying in one place

And while the sky never changes,
But my mindset has evolved

Looking on as
Venus takes its time

Passing the sun
Before seeing it rise
