I Wish You Well

I wish you Well.
On the surface, cold as stone
Full of hollow wants and shallow needs.
Overgrown and stubborn in your ways,
But alluring all the same.

And even after throwing my life into you
Begging
Pleading
For a miracle
I was deprived of any return,
With both pockets and palms
Turned out.

And yet
Still,
I wish you well.
For even if you don’t want to listen,
At least my echo
May be enough
For me to hear the things
I wish you’d say.
