Inhale No Evil
Becuase I can smell the rain
Before it falls,
Because I can feel the pain in my knee
And the pressure in my head,
I can tell you when a storm is coming
Before a single cloud
Even forms.
So when you told me we had to talk,
I should have known exactly what to expect.
The was no reason to inhale
No evil in the air
But I didn’t notice
The stiffness in my spine
Or the cold winds
From your glances.
Your eyes started to pour,
My throat started to drown
And I knew right then
That some disasters
Cannot be prevented
Even if you see them coming.
