The lemur has two tongues

One helps them eat
One helps them clean

But if I had two tongues I could do much more than that

I could tell you everything you deserved to hear

I could ask you to stay again and maybe you’ll hear me the second time around

I could could savor every taste twice as much

If I had two tongues, then it wouldn’t matter that I’ve made a habit of holding one

Because I could still talk through the trap I put myself in.
