White Knuckle Mountain Tops

Fists clenched tighter than the jaw

Both holding back

From acting

And revealing

Our true nature

For actions speak louder than words

But words carry consequences of the heart

And that is a pain

No body can replicate.

For a body can bruise and break

And heal.

And the heart and mind can mend

But the spirit

Will change.

But how

Is not something easily in our control.

So climb white knuckle mountain tops

And focus your eyes on the horizon

Be not upset for the sunset,

For the decent is part of the climb
