Great Pyramid of Giza

I buried the words
Deep in my heart

For I feared what would happen
If they were stolen

And I make a spectacle of myself
Acting larger than life
To distract from the fact
That inside I’m hollow

Because what I am on the surface
Seems to be all anyone cares about anyway

And the intricacies of my inner thoughts
Are considered taboo

That is why you’ll never hear
What I have to say

Becuase you and I both know
It will be taken
The wrong way

So enjoy our time together,
Even at a distance

For I cannot be torn down by those
I never let in
